Membership
If you have stumbled upon this website, it is likely you were directed here by an existing member so you can discover more about what we are all about.
Our aim is to have a league membership roster of between 8 and 12 players who will gather often (weekly is the aim) to play in friendly competitive Texas Hold’em Poker Tournaments.
Membership is a privilege. It is offered to a selection of people believed to be responsible enough to follow the rules and enjoy their time while permitting everyone else to also enjoy their time.
Membership can be taken away if the rules of the league are not followed.
Tournaments
Players participating in the tournaments are automatically members of the Steelcity Poker League and earn points based upon how well they perform during these events.
We will have 4 seasons every year, and every season we will have a tournament leaderboard running. At the end of each quarter, the prize pool will be split up amongst the top 3 players of the season. The prize pool will be 90% of the seasonal player entrance fees played.
The results of a poker tournament will be uploaded directly to our web server – the leaderboard will be updated automatically to reflect the most up to date game data.
(note: Presently the game data is just dummy test data to ensure the formula, calculations and database functions are working as expected.)
Tournament Structure
Tournaments will be hosted at a member’s house.
All players will be respectful to the environment and property while attending a tournament.
Each Tournament will have a director – one person responsible for making any special judgement on situations.
The Dealer is responsible for ensuring the flow of a hand. Dealer changes every hand.
The Primary Tournament Structure will be followed.
